This week on Turkish Football Weekly, Jeremy returns to the podcast after a month long absence. The Turkish Cup group stages kicked off and the first matchday is reviewed, along with a brief run down on the Turkish Airlines Antalya Cup friendly tournament (which Jeremy goes over). The major news of the week concerns the Kasimpasa-Besiktas match from week 15 of this season. This week on Turkish Football Weekly, Kaan Bayazit joins Ata Dizdar for the third straight week. Week 17 results of the Turkish Super League are reviewed as the Turkish Super League takes it's winter break. This week on Turkish Football Weekly, Jeremy is out of the country, so Ata is joined this week by Kaan Bayazit. Week 15 results of the Turkish Super League are reviewed. This includes an analysis of the "eventful" match between Kasimpasa and Besiktas. The opponents for Galatasaray and Trabzonspor in their respective European competitions have been drawn, and the initial prospects of them advancing are debated. The Turkish Cup 5th round came to an end, and the results are reported on. There is a discussion of various issues in the news surrounding Turkish football. One of which are two coaching resignations, one of which might come as a surprise considering how said coach's team has been doing in the league recently, and which will take effect at the end of the first half of the current season. Also, the two hosts delve into a discussion of the aftermath of the Kasimpasa-Besiktas match. The podcast concludes with a discussion on Manuel Fernandes, whose conduct has come into question recently. It's been reported that Fernandes said that he will not play in Turkey again, and the hosts debate his value to Besiktas and whether he should stay or be sold.

Earl and Robert return from a short sabbatical to bring you back up to speed on what is happening in Major League Soccer, and it's big - the MLS Cup Playoffs are finally here!

The guys break down the final table, and give you a glimpse as to what they expect for the 4 versus 5 Play-in Round of the Playoffs.

They also cover the most recent news out of the domestic league, including the potential entry of Orlando City to MLS in the near future. They close the show with some silliness which is liable to offend the fans of one or more teams in the league. Trust us, we're only having fun!

Miguel "Piojo" Herrera held his first practice session as El Tri's head coach, Wednesday Oct. 24th, 2013, a day after Club America was eliminated from the CONCACAF Champions League. In Manchester, Chicharito's Manchester United won 1-0 in a Champions League game against Carlos Vela's Real Sociedad, while Jonathan dos Santos suffered a knee injury during a practice session in Barcelona. Chivas is last place in Liga Bancomer MX. Tom, Eric, Jonny, and Nayib talk about all of these topics in this 58 minute-long episode.

In this edition of Kicking it with Raphael, I welcomed on FC Barcelona Columnist, and SB Nation's Barça Blaugranes writer Xoel Cardenas @xoelcardenas Xoel and I discussed Atletico Madrid's Koke and Diego Costa and how well they have been playing. How To Troll Trabzon Style - TFW vol. 39 - October 11, 2013
This week on Turkish Football Weekly, week 7 results of the Turkish Super League are reviewed. This includes the very "eventful" Fenerbahce-Trabzonspor match, which made more headlines by who showed up at the match. News this week features a shake-up of Kayserispor, and the sanctions handed out by the PFDK after the Fenerbahce-Trabzonspor match. The hosts go into a debate about said person who showed up at that match, Trabzonspor chairman Ibrahim Haciosmanoglu, and the events surrounding his appearance. The main debate topic there is whether if it was a good idea for Haciosmanoglu to show up in Sukru Saracoglu stadium to watch the match, especially considering what happened to him after the match was over. Konak Belediyesi's performance in the UEFA Women's Champions League is reviewed. The podcast concludes with a brief discussion of the roster for the Turkish national team, and the do or die situation they face in World Cup 2014 qualifiers as they face Estonia and the Netherlands.

Black Eagles Fans Check In, Terim Checks Out - TFW vol. 36 - September 27, 2013
A very lengthy episode is on tap for this week's Turkish Football Weekly. But considering the two headlines that made the rounds not only within Turkey but beyond Turkey's borders, it will be worth the time. Week 5 results of the Turkish Super League get reviewed, and the week 6 schedule is discussed. The Besiktas-Galatasaray match from week 5 gets reviewed in its own segment, as the hosts look into the derby which featured good football, but a lot of fans wanting to "get involved" to put it mildly. Also, the subsequent sanctions handed out by the TFF's Professional Football Disciplinary Committee, mostly against Besiktas, are reviewed. While that would have taken a good chunk of an episode by itself, Galatasaray countered with its own headline making move. The hosts discuss Galatasaray's sacking of manager Fatih Terim, and whether it was shocking or perhaps to be expected.

There's Something About Turkish Referees - TFW vol. 35 - September 20, 2013
This week on Turkish Football Weekly, there's going to be a lot of frustration vented towards match officials. Week 4 results of the Turkish Super League are reviewed. Particular discussion centers on the direct red card given to Eskisehirspor's Erkan Zengin in their match against Sivasspor. The schedule for week 5 is reviewed, which features Besiktas hosting Galatasaray. European results for Galatasaray and Trabzonspor are reviewed. News this week concerns suspensions handed out to Zengin, and Gaziantepspor manager Bulent Uygun. The hosts also discuss how to make the referees more accountable to the calls they make and suggest ways of using technology to make suspensions and other sanctions easier to enforce in the league.

It might not be so hopeless for Turkey after all. This week on Turkish Football Weekly, Turkey's World Cup qualifying matches against Andorra and Romania are reviewed. News this week features Erman Kilic's transfer to Eskisehirspor from Galatasaray (after signing for the Istanbul club only three months ago), and Kerim Frei signing for Besiktas. A Week of WTF - TFW vol. 32 - August 30, 2013
The reason for this title of this week's Turkish Football Weekly is because the hosts go through a lot of subjects that will make one think of the acronym "WTF". Week 2 results of the Turkish Super League are reviewed, with a rundown on the week 3 schedule. The European matches involving Turkish teams are reviewed. The result of Fenerbahce's CAS appeal was disclosed this week, and the hosts debate the result and implications of the appeal. (Besiktas' result was not known at the time of recording of this podcast and will be discussed next week) Galatasaray found out who they will face in the Champions League group stages, and the hosts discuss the opponents for the defending champions.
The Civil War Battle Between The Post For Mexico - MSS vol. 35 - August 28, 2013
Francisco Guillermo "Memo" Ochoa will not take part in El Tri's September World Cup Qualifiers because he wants to be a starter as opposed to being second choice goalkeeper, that is what Mexico's manager Chepo de la Torre said. Memo has yet to give his side of the story. Rayados and Víctor Manuel Vucetich parted ways, finishing a golden period that included five championships. Jesús "Tecatito" Corona is an official FC Twente player, all this and much more this week with Tom, Jonny, and Nayib.

The show is back after a week hiatus, and while Robert is away, Daniel Feuerstein of the Feuerstein's Fire Internet Soccer Show was on to talk about the beautiful game.

First off, we talk about the initial coverage of the Barclay's Premier League on NBC Sports, and some of the reaction (not always supportive) of the American soccer community. Then the topic of the US Soccer Hall of Fame was brought up, based on an article by Neil Morris of Indy Week that talked all about the Hall being in storage in a warehouse in North Carolina.

We move on to talk about the US Men's National Team and their victory in Sarajevo, and some news from within MLS. Finally, we break down the weekend's scores and talk about the US Open Cup a bit.

The UEFA Champions League playoffs are less than a week away and Fox Sports 1's Rob Stone joined in to give us his thoughts on the best ties of the round. Make It Quick - TFW vol. 27 - July 25, 2013

Liga Bancomer MX Open With 19 Goals in 7 Games - MSS vol. 30 - July 23, 2013
First Division Mexican football returned with 19 goals in seven games. Darío Benedetto debuted in Liga Bancomer MX with a hat-trick, Kikin Fonseca got ejected for fouling Rafa Márquez on two occasions (he says Rafa flopped), Reyna scored a goal in the dying minutes of the match against Chiapas FC to give Tiburones Rojos an important 2-2 tie, and Pachuca got three important points at Nemesio Díez. Tom, Jonny, and Nayib review all of Liga Bancomer MX's first week, and they give their predictions for the upcoming El Tri Gold Cup semifinal against Panamá.
Mad About Futbol vol. 46 - From Miami To Barcelona - July 23, 2013
On this edition of the Mad About Futbol Show, the guys were joined by Uncle Ed of the Miami Ultras as well as from the Miami Chapter of the American Outlaws to talk about the prospect of Miami in MLS. We also scheduled Joseph Goodman of the Miami Herald but he refused to come on the show to talk about his article on South Beach and David Beckham.

Ed spoke about the latest goings on in this never-ending saga to bring an MLS team back to South Florida as well as a chance to help convince Juan and George about the prospects a little more.

We were also joined by SB Nation columnist Xoel Cárdenas to talk about the biggest news of the day- the hiring of Gerardo Martino as coach of FC Barcelona. Xoel expressed his initial skepticism about the hiring of the former Paraguayan national team and Newell's Old Boys coach as well as what "Tata" will offer his new team.

Xoel also points out that this squad will have some major issues to deal with, especially on defense this coming season. Surely lots of interesting topics that are dealt with by Xoel in this episode.

United States of Futbol - Mixing Down The Disk-erud - July 22, 2013

CAS Gives CPR - TFW vol. 26 - July 20, 2013
This week on Turkish Football Weekly, there's on field action, and court dates to be discussed. The first leg of Trabzonspor's Europa League 2nd qualifying round tie with Irish outfit Derry City is reviewed. News discussed this week includes Besiktas finding a temporary home while Inonu stadium gets rebuilt, Florent Malouda being signed by Trabzonspor, and Orhan Sam's status with Kasimpasa. The main topic of discussion this week centers on the decisions of the UEFA appeals body regarding the bans placed on Fenerbahce and Besiktas, and the Court of Arbitration for Sport enforcing a stay of execution on those bans until the cases are heard at CAS. The podcast concludes with a brief overview of the attendance of the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Turkey.

Liga Bancomer Kicks Off - MSS vol. 29 - July 17, 2013
Mexico's Primera Division begins this Friday July 19, 2013. The league is no longer called Liga MX, but Liga Bancomer MX. Tom, Jonny, and Nayib preview the 18 Mexican clubs and give their Liguilla picks. At the end of the show they predict who they have winning the title.
